EU: Det här med ever closer union skall ni inte ta så allvarligt.
England vill inte vara med i EU om det skall vara Ever Closer Union. Ingen fara säger man från ledande EU-håll för att lugna engelsmännen.
Men.

Jag tror att dom försöker luras. Så lätt ger dom inte upp sin storhetsvansinniga dröm om ett nytt Rom.
Det heter ju också Rom-fördraget.

As such, the chances of leaders agreeing to rewrite the treaty text, or creating a full-blown opt-out for certain countries, are remote.
However, it does look like that Britain will get some form of statement that says the principle does not oblige countries to take part in political integration if they do not wish.
